If YouTube starts slowly, drops quality, or pauses during playback, there can be several causes. Your plan speed is only one of them.
Home network
Weak Wi‑Fi, other devices sharing the connection, or insufficient bandwidth.
Route to YouTube
The internet is not a straight line. Data crosses several networks, and one path can become congested.
Chrome
Heavy tabs, other extensions, and background work can affect playback.
Your device
High load, video processing issues, or hardware acceleration can also feel like buffering.
How Flash Route can help here
When YouTube is selected in Flash Route, the needed connections receive a separate route through Flash Route infrastructure. Other sites stay on the normal connection.
When several healthy nodes are available for a selected service, the system can choose a suitable route between them. It considers the state and location of available nodes. You do not need to choose a country or server manually.
One already-open connection is not sent through several servers at once. If an available route stops responding, Flash Route can select another healthy route for new connections. Faster performance is not guaranteed: Flash Route changes only the route for the selected service.
When Flash Route will not help
- When Wi‑Fi is weak or the home network is busy.
- When the connection is too slow for the selected quality.
- When the device is overloaded or cannot process the video smoothly.
- When the issue is on YouTube's side.
